A good alternative to chlorine is salt electrolysis disinfection. By adding salt to the pool water, the salt in the salt electrolysis cell is converted into chlorine. This salt is not consumed; once the chlorine has done its job, it returns to salt. During the season, at most, a little salt needs to be added to the pool water because some of the salt water is lost when backwashing the sand filter. For proper operation, most salt electrolysis units operate with a salt concentration of 3 to 6 grams of salt per liter of pool water. Easy to expand with the relay control box (72454) via a single multi-core cable.
