Bavaria Wind Chime - 71CM

This extraordinary wind chime is tuned to the notes of the joyful alphorn melody from Johannes Brahms' Symphony No. 1 in C minor. The famous German composer wrote this piece over more than 15 years and completed it in 1876.

The name of the carillon pays homage to the rich Bavarian heritage, in particular to the delicious Weizenbier or wheat beer, which is brewed here. According to the German Purity Law of 1516, this is made exclusively with water, malt, hops and yeast in order to obtain the best quality. The Bavaria Wind Chime was made following similar principles: it is tuned to entire musical intervals to achieve the purest melody. Its green color is reminiscent of the Bavarian countryside: lush hills, thick pine forests and fields of wheat, like the ear engraved on the weather vane.
