The Heissner bank mat is used to stabilize newly landscaped slopes and earth mounds. Its wide-mesh weave made of coconut fibers provides excellent anchoring for plant roots, which in turn reinforce the slope over time. It prevents soil from sliding, for example on the banks of a pond or water feature, enables the banks to be naturally planted and effectively protects the pond liner.
