Edo Nishiki has a delicious aroma, a sweet and sour fruity scent with hints of crunchy cinnamon and delicate vanilla.

Until the end of the Tokugawa period, the citizens of Edo developed art and culture. It was a time of prosperous flourishing and this was expressed among other things through the patterns of fabrics, Edo komon. In this samurai society, clothing was very simple, but people wanted to appear unique through the patterns, colors and prints of the fabrics. These decorative patterns extended to kabuki theater, nishiki woodblock printing and many aspects of daily life. They evoke images of a singular world of dazzling beauty and, even today, the designs that were created during this period seem modern to us and continue to be a source of passion and inspiration.
