Water enters the filter and is mechanically filtered through the foam layer, then passes through the bio balls and UV lamp. In the larger models (60 and 100), biological filtration is performed only with filter foam, not bio balls. Cleaning: set the valve to the rinse position, pull the lever upward, and turn the rods a quarter turn so that the shoes push the filter sponges downward. Dirt is expelled from the filter sponges by moving the lever up and down. The shoes can also be used to apply greater force! Contaminated water leaves the filter through the drain connection. The filter therefore does not need to be opened, and rinsing can be carried out while keeping your hands dry and clean! Connections for models 25/40: 1" male thread with 25/30 mm hose connectors. Connections for models 60/100: 2" male thread with 32/38/50 mm hose connectors. Max. pressure: 0.4 bar. The maximum pond capacity applies to a low fish load. For ponds with many fish and little shade, the maximum capacity must be reduced by half.
